Richie’s World

Starting this blog tonight is wishing my little buddy GOOD LUCK in her first Football match.  I will be there to cheer her on.  We practice when we can and she has a killer kick!!!

Ok now what have I been up to, well I only have two more test to take before I get my Photography Certificate.. Yaaa for me.  I might try to finish them this week before I start work next week.   I have been off due to pain and surgery in my back.  I am still tender but am cutting down my pills and using the simulator daily.. With all that’s going on it’s now just a moment in time and it has passed. I can’t explain how I feel tonight except tired and happy.  Sleep has been a problem but I am working on it..  I might do some more work on the Paintings as time is getting short.  Both big paintings are hanging on my wall and really look great but they still talk to me, Shoot me up with the colour drugs!!!!

Smiles to all and happiness too.. 🙂  Yes my favorite or one of them cooking and Thai cooking is my favorite areas.

Richie’s World “Picture from a past day out” Reflextions

I decided to post this photo I took a while ago as I am just sorting through some past work.  I’ve been interested in doing random shots to see what happens and this one looked good as there is so much in it.  It has angles, lines and people!!! I like seeing people doing their own thing.  Eating, socializing and there’s me, PEOPLE WATCHING!!!! What fun… You can see people inside the window but if you look closely you see ghost like images in it… hope you can see what I see and more.. Let me know what you think, both good and bad as it’s your opinion and your right…. Oh I need to post it now o enjoy!!!!

Tell your friends about the photo too…. smiles to all…. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Richie’s Wolrd “Art in Great places”

Just wanted to share a photo I took of a beautiful work of art. This person caught my eye and I went up to her and asked to take her picture.  She was lovely. It turns out that she is a Gardner in Oxford.  We had a chat and it just goes to show that if you  leave your comfort zone and talk to someone new you might be in for a surprise.  We talked about LA INK with Cat Von DE.  the amazing tattooist in California. I like meeting real people and sharing the moment.  Hope you like it.  I know it’s not a perfect photo as I tried to blow it up  and it became blurry.  Oh well I should have taken more than one photo.  When I asked her if I could take her photo she asked she said “would you like me to take my clothes off”  I said no and we both laughed.  I hope to run into her some day and do a proper photo shoot.

Well enough talk here she is…….

I have a recipe for everyone to try.  It is the best cake ever and now runs beside my all time favorite Cup Cakes!!!  So give it ago and let me know what you think… Heres the recipe 🙂 Oh! it not my recipe but I did EAT a lot of it..

4 -5 clementines    ( about 375 g in weight

6 eggs

225g sugar

250g ground almonds

1 heaped teaspoon baking powder

1- boil clementines for about 2 hours then cool, cut clementines in half and remove pips. then blitz all the clementines

preheat oven 190 c or gas mark 5

butter and line 21″ spring-form tin

2-add all the ingredients to the food processor and mix

3-pour mixture into tin and bake for 1 hour

you may have to cover after 40 mins  with foil to stop it burning

leave to cool in tin

while its still warm i drizzle the top generously with the juice of 1 1/2 lemons which i mix with about 2 teaspoons of sugar ( to taste, depending on how much tang you like)  and if i have a clementine left i juice that also and mix the 2 juices

usually taste better the next day.

enjoy. x

Richie’s World

Just wanted to show you the pork burgers we cooked tonight.  They sound different but they taste great!!!  We took pork mince and added shredded apple then 1 egg.  It needs some seasoning too.  One burger isn’t enough so make plenty.

We also made some bread but it needed a bit more time in the oven as one spot in the loaf was a little doughy.  I will try it again in the morning. 🙂 Grace and I love cooking and this is a big LIKE for us.

Richie’s World

I thought it would be nice to share a place in South Carolina that I went to think.  It’s a place where the locals went to cool down as you could float down the river on a raft or tire tube.  I sat on the rocks watching others and letting my head process my life and what was happening to me and I had no control of what was going on.  I often think about it but realize that I will have a great life as I now know how to open my mind and heart.  I have so much energy inside that I often burn the candle at both ends just for a smile.   🙂    Painting and taking photographs bring me so much joy and being able to talk to someone about these things knowing that they are truly interested in listening is a feeling I can explain.   Taking a chance and teaching myself new things is a natural  high!!!!  Enjoy the picture and hope you have a place that means something to you….

Searching the past

Millions of years ago can be experienced by visiting this wonderful coastline.  I been a few times and each time I find something new.  Can you imagine the sea covering this area but now the sea has ebbed away to reveal a new but ancient world to us.  Us being the new tech high-flying society that finds more time in front of the TV or computer playing games.. I try to get out as much as I can to explore what the world has to offer and to share it with family and friends.  I have never had a bad day out even if it rains (don’t have to like it the rain that is or the cold) I just find my self amazed at what I see and see through the eyes of others.  Look at this photo and imagine if you will that it’s still the same basically as it was over a million years ago.  We now have a chance when the tide is out to be the first to see it and this happens every day.  This is Seatown Dorset.

I discovered fossils of all shapes and sizes along with the dancing/jumping stones.  Yes it happens and we had a laugh watching this.  Bring the family and a pic nic and spend the day.  It will only cost you 3 pounds to park the car and time with the family or friend/s or even on your own.  The time is the most expensive thing we have as you can’t put a price on it because once it’s gone you can never get it back. The time you spend only happens once so why not make it a memory.  I try every day to get another memory.  Planning can use up time to why not plan whilst doing something at the same time.  Just be and you will see all that the world happening right in front of you.  Life is to short not to try something new.

Smiles to all and thank you for being apart of my blog. 🙂

Art by Heather Jansch

Today was a treat, went to the open house art show of Heather Jansch.  She is amazing with her sculptures.  The private collection is mind-blowing.  Walking the grounds of her property is one that leave you in peace.  The grounds are at least 5 acres and every area has something special to see.  From a running stream to rolling hills you follow the hand carved paths which whined down the hills to secluded areas.  Each area offers sculpted seating areas to sit and just be.  The horses all over the property are as friendly as they are beautiful.  You can walk up to anyone of these creatures and stroke them.  I was able to photograph every one of them.  I even managed to touch and photograph a big stag!!  To see her sculptures left me feeling inspired and wanting to create something as wonderful as her work.  Heather seemed to be at ease with everyone walking around her home and land which most people would find hard as privacy is something to be cherished.  I hope my photos of her work gives you the same pleasure I got when I saw them..Unfortunatly today is the last day this year for a look at her private collection.  I hope to see more of her work and would love to own one but at high-end art I would struggle to get a small sculpture.  Smiles to everyone and try to be creative in something that is yours.  Art is art as long as you did it with a vision in mind and you had fun doing it and sharing it with others.   🙂   There are some more photos of her work but I will post them another time as I just want to give you a taste of her amazing work.

Run Richie Run!!!

Just got home and went straight out for a run. I must be crazy because all it feels like while running is….I CAN’T BREATH!! Just want to be SICK! I have yet to see anyone run with a smile on their face.  They all look like I feel, Like crap!   I know that its good for me because that’s what everyone says.  The truth is those people don’t run or move unless there is a cookie at the other end.  So why do I torturer myself with this GOD awful keep fit want to have a six-pack body routine?  It reminds me that I am alive, the pain is real.  I sometimes don’t feel real, well most time I feel that way.  It also helps me to think clearer and understand why I am in this place.  Reminds me of a song by Robbie Williams, I just want to feel real love in a life ever after……Sad but true.  Well enough of that for now because I need water, rather have wine but right now all I can taste is my lungs!!! Tomorrow I will do crunches and push-up with some chin-ups.  Sounds like fun NOT.    Time to end this small but real life blog.  Thanks for listening to Richie’s World.. The american mind in England!!!  Smiles to all 🙂 Rather be eating BEN & JERRY’S Ice Cream
